Hello, 

I am Mel, an energized and driven program specialist who is passionate about child, youth and community care at all levels.

I have worked and volunteered in various roles within out of home care, non government and community organisations since 2000 in Australia and America. Often with a focus on providing opportunities for vulnerable young people who have various challenges or barriers and trauma experiences. During this time I have developed various skills and a variety of lenses that enable me to be flexible in my approach when working within the community sector to support others.

I have worked with vulnerable young people, families and communities to feel empowered and supported to achieve their goals and dreams during my various roles in the community sector with a best practice and strength based approach. 

I enjoy working within and supporting others by way of a positive strength based and collaborate environment that encourages empowerment and growth for all.
